How to Wear Jhumkas: With Sarees, Kurtas and Western Outfits

The jhumka is India's best-loved earring: a bell-shaped drop that swings and catches the light with every movement. It works with far more than festive wear, if you balance it right.

Five rules

Earrings first. Jhumkas are the statement; everything else supports them.
Show them. Hair up, braided or tucked.
Balance the neckline. High and boat necks love large jhumkas.
Weight matters. For long days, choose lighter pairs or use support backs.
Match the metal to the zari in your outfit.

Care
