How to wear them

The black and red meenakari on the Riyasat Meenakari Kadas suits bold outfits: black, maroon and red sarees, Rajasthani prints and velvet lehengas. Wear them for weddings, Diwali, Lohri and Navratri, one on each wrist or together on one side. Their matte finish also pairs well with oxidised and antique jewellery.

Care

  • Put them on after perfume and lotion, and take them off before bathing, swimming or washing up.

The Riyasat Meenakari Kadas are handcrafted on a brass base with a matte gold-tone finish, with hand-finished meenakari enamel, crystal and glass stones in individual settings. They are part of UTSAV, Priskel's traditional line, and are not made of solid gold, silver or precious gemstones.
Can I wear the Riyasat Meenakari Kadas in water or while sweating?
No. Unlike Priskel's Everyday 18K gold PVD steel pieces, UTSAV pieces are not waterproof. Put the Riyasat Meenakari Kadas on after perfume, hairspray and lotion, take them off before bathing, swimming or exercise, and wipe them with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Stored dry in the box, the finish stays bright for many festive seasons.
What sizes do the Riyasat Meenakari Kadas come in, and how do I choose?
The Riyasat Meenakari Kadas are available in bangle sizes 2.4 and 2.6 (inches, inner diameter). Size 2.4 suits most slim to medium wrists; 2.6 suits broader hands. The kada opens on a hinge, so it goes on at the wrist rather than over the knuckles, and you can choose the size that sits comfortably. Measure a bangle you already own across the inside, or use the UTSAV bangle size guide (2.4 vs 2.6) to measure at home.
