It is a bow-shaped pendant on a fine chain, made from 316L surgical stainless steel with a 3-micron 18K gold PVD coating. The Golden Bow Necklace uses shaped metal rather than stones, so the design shows through the curve of the bow and its polished surface.
Does the bow pendant scratch or dull with daily wear?
It holds up. The Golden Bow Necklace is 100% waterproof and its 3-micron PVD coating is bonded at a molecular level in a vacuum, roughly ten times thicker than 0.3-micron electroplating, so the raised edges of the bow do not lose gold tone with showering or sweat.
Will this necklace react with sensitive skin or sweat?
No reaction. The Golden Bow Necklace is nickel-free and lead-free, so heavy sweat does not create green marks where the pendant rests against the chest. The hypoallergenic 316L surgical stainless steel base means it can be worn continuously, including next to a healed piercing.
